If your designs could speak, what would they say?
My designs are intricately inspired by Empress Nur Jahan of the Mughal era, drawing directly from the original motifs crafted by Persian artisans who adorned her with elaborate hand-embroidered garments. If my designs could articulate their essence, they would eloquently convey the potency of delicate feminine energy akin to that embodied by Empress Nur Jahan. Renowned for her extraordinary beauty, intellect, and profound influence on court affairs, Nur Jahan remains a timeless symbol of power and grace.
What are the signature elements in your designs?
Our brand is celebrated for its fusion of modern contemporary silhouettes with the timeless artistry of traditional Chikankari hand-embroidery. At Label Aishwaryrika, our signature lies in the exquisite craftsmanship of our strappy chikankari kurta sets, which beautifully showcase this amalgamation. Each piece embodies our commitment to blending heritage with contemporary flair, making them quintessential to the essence of Label Aishwaryrika.
Which collection are you most proud of, and why?
I take equal pride in every collection we have launched, owing to the meticulous thought and effort invested by my exceptional team of women artisans in each one.
Where do you find inspiration for your designs?
I find inspiration in a multitude of sources. Nature's intricate patterns and vibrant colours often influence my creative process, offering endless possibilities for texture and silhouette. Historical art and architecture, from ancient civilizations to modern movements, provide rich cultural references that I reinterpret into contemporary fashion. Additionally, I draw inspiration from the dynamic pulse of urban life-street styles, music, and the ever-evolving attitudes of individuals around me. Ultimately, my designs reflect a fusion of these inspirations, translating them into unique pieces that resonate with my vision and the desires of my audience.
