If your designs could speak, what would they say?

"Become a part of a story where everyone is a princess." If my designs could speak, they would invite you to step into a world of timeless elegance and regal splendor. They would tell you that each piece is more than just a garment; it's an heirloom, a narrative woven with threads of heritage, craftsmanship, and passion. My designs are crafted to make every wearer feel like a princess, adorned in luxury and enveloped in the aura of a bygone era, yet tailored for the modern age.

What are the signature elements in your designs?

The signature elements in our creations include the use of the most luxurious fabrics flown in from Lyon, France, to the best of Indian silk chiffon. Our embellishments feature a multitude of techniques in a single motif, making it almost three-dimensional. Additionally, the use of colored sequins is another unique selling point of our designs

Which collection are you most proud of, and why?

I'm especially fond of Primavera because it was our first couture collection. We poured our heart and soul into it, inspired by Botticelli's painting of the same name. It was a time when the true artistry of the atelier came to light, making it very close to my heart.

Where do you find inspiration for your designs?

My grandmother's extensive collection of saris, made by the best designers back in the day and crafted in our atelier, serves as a lifetime inspiration for me. Her wardrobe is a treasure trove of exquisite craftsmanship and timeless beauty, each piece telling a story of elegance and tradition. These heirlooms, rich in history and intricate detail, continually inspire me to blend the old-world charm with modern sophistication in my own creations.

Which designer in the world inspires you?

Cristobal Balenciaga and Monsieur Dior. Their classic elegance and the way they revolutionized fashion in the 1950s after the Second World War are unmatched.

Share a memorable "aha" moment from your design career.

A memorable "aha" moment was when a patron bought a sari from my first collection in 2013. Recently, her daughter wore the same sari for her graduation at Parsons, New York. This experience of creating modern heirlooms that span generations is very close to my heart
