If your designs could speak, what would they say?

I'm not drawn to the 'ordinary'... I thrive on the extraordinary. But who embodies the 'extraordinary'? They are individuals who truly understand themselves. They recognize the significance of their voice, realizing that true 'style' isn't about mimicking others' looks. They possess a 'personal style' that echoes their unique beliefs. Whether they exude femininity, boldness, eclecticism, or whimsy, I cater to those who inherently 'know' this truth and choose attire that resonates with their innermost selves. I embrace those who appreciate the craftsmanship and heritage of Indian culture while staying attuned to global style trends.  If you connect with my creative vision, I resonate with your ideological expression. What are the signature elements in your designs?

Saaj by Ankita's designs seamlessly blend global fashion trends with the rich heritage of Indian crafts. Incorporating modern color palettes, aesthetics, silhouette structures, and intricate surface detailing, our creations infuse elements of contemporary style with traditional Indian aesthetics. Rooted in tradition yet crafted for the world, each piece reflects our commitment to bridging cultural boundaries through timeless elegance.

Which collection are you most proud of, and why?

With over 7 collections produced annually, we relish the entire creative journey. The commercial success of a collection doesn't necessarily reflect the effort invested in its creation. From the perspective of a creator, I cherish every aspect of the process: from the initial inception to the trials, research, overcoming obstacles, pushing boundaries, and drawing from past experiences to bring a collection to life. In essence, I take pride in everything we accomplish, each and every day.

Where do you find inspiration for your designs?

"Inspiration" is ubiquitous; for me, it resides most prominently in people. Engaging with our clients, delving into their individuality, and uncovering their personal expressions, beliefs, stories, and choices, fuels my creative drive. People from all walks of life serve as the most captivating works of art, constantly inspiring me with their diversity and depth.

Which designer in the world inspires you?

Creativity permeates every corner of our world, whether acknowledged or awaiting discovery. While I'd love to pinpoint specific sources, the ever-changing landscape of awareness and the fluidity of seasons ensure that designers across various domains continuously offer boundless inspiration.
