If your designs could speak, what would they say?

If my designs could speak, they would speak of attention to detail while weaving narratives of timeless beauty, and innovation and celebrating individuality through artful design. Above all, my designs would convey a message of empowerment, encouraging all those who wear them to embrace their unique style.

What are the signature elements in your designs?

I tend to gravitate towards timeless and classic pieces with a modern twist. I like to incorporate bold color combinations to give my designs a unique flair. In-house designed prints inspired by nature and ancient printing techniques combined with unique colors is KoAi's signature.

Which collection are you most proud of, and why?

My first collection "ORIGIN", is the closest to my heart as it was my breakthrough collection. This is where my career started.

Where do you find inspiration for your designs?

The tangible and intangible elements of our environment constantly inspire me. Our flora, fauna, food, architecture, art, and music are a constant source of inspiration.

Share a memorable "aha" moment from your design career.

The most memorable moment in my career so far, was when I found out that I had won the GenNext program at The Lakmé Fashion Week in association with FDCI, and would be showcasing my collection at the next fashion week. Dream come true!
