There's a silver lining to 2021 after all! And we mean it quite literally too. The year just witnessed its first celebrity wedding and it's nothing that we had expected. Varun Dhawan and his long-time beau, designer Natasha Dalal, got married in a super intimate ceremony (reportedly with a guest-list of only 50 people) at The Mansion in Alibaug, and in attendance were some Bollywood biggies like Manish Malhotra, who reportedly designed Varun's ivory sherwani, director Karan Johar, and film writer Shashank Khaitan. Even though netizens had been speculating the hush-hush wedding, we can't help but be stunned by the secrecy. And especially by the bride and groom's choice of phera outfits. Varun and Natasha looked thoughtfully colour-coordinated in their ivory outfits, drenched in sequins. The groom's sherwani, custom-designed by the couturier, Manish Malhotra, and the bride who's a fashion designer herself, self-designed her monotone lehenga. Varun's dashing sherwani set came with a powder blue stole that offset all-white look . For the men on a hunt for their wedding outfits, if you're planning to for a monotone outfit, take notes from the actor and throw in a pastel or jewel-tone dupatta. Natasha STUNNED in her traffic-stopping sequined ivory lehenga. The diamond and emerald necklace that she wore with her wedding look only elevated the entire look. We love that the green in her jewellery. But what gave her traditional look a slight touch of subversion was her chooda which as opposed to most that you have seen was white. Her kaleera, too, was stark silver which was a welcome change from the golden ones that we are so used to seeing. We really like how the couple's wedding outfits were a slight departure from the usual and yet managed to keep the tradition alive. Subversive brides, if you're inspired by Natasha's white outfit, here are some options that you should consider for your big day. Love the bride's all-white choice of wedding outfit?
