Eshaa Amiin has been an immense part of the fashion industry in the last couple of years and has made a mark of her own journey in the world of styling and designing. She consecutively launched her label two years ago, which has given her a cutting edge for her undying passion for the finest in fashion. 1. How has the journey of styling been significant in your life? Fabulous! I enjoy every moment of each day that has new challenges and so much to learn from. 2. A memorable moment in your career as a stylist. As a stylist, when the iconic Sridevi told my parents that 'Their daughter is the most hard working stylist she has ever seen' at the party season preview launch at Aza. This motivates me to continue working with love and dedication to my clients. As a designer, when a standing ovation was presented by my close friends and family at my debut at Lakme Fashion Week, which translated to showers of loud applauds and appreciation. I felt so blessed that the beautiful Lara Dutta walked as showstopper for my show! 3. How did you know that designing was something you wanted to begin in your career? I am originally a fashion design graduate from NIFT and I have worked as head designer for a leading export house. Hence designing was something that I had always thought of. Although I enjoy the spontaneity of styling, it always keep me hyper and excited like a child but designing has been more of a therapy that keeps me calm. I often customize and design my clothes for films and advertisements that I have styled, for the last two years. This is where I thought of bridging the gap and starting off my label that would express my love for design. 4. Tell us about your collection and the inspiration behind it. It is called ‘Forest Noir’, and it is all about the deep and dark beauty of the forest, very edgy yet wearable silhouettes in hues of black, emerald, aubergine and navy with lazer cuts, self bling and lots of texture. 5. 6. What are the biggest challenges once can face as a stylist? Short deadlines. 7. How would you describe your personal style? Sartorial, spontaneous and sexy. 8. Trends you forecast will be a hit in the year 2017. Jewel colors with self bling for the evening and sky blues for the day. 9. The most stylish women you’ve ever met and why? Kangana Ranaut. Because she has a unique sense of style with an eye for detail that is absolutely incredible. 10. Other designers whose work you admire? Alexander McQueen and Anamika Khanna.
