Trends seen at New York Fashion Week 2019

One of the world's biggest fashion events of the season took place in New York earlier this month. And if you missed out the scoop - don't worry, we have you covered. Read along to explore the trending styles at the New York Fashion Week Fall Winter 2019.

Caped Crusader

Caped dresses were a major look at the New York Fashion week 2019. From Short embellished cape jackets to cascading flowy ones to more solid and rigid capes - the runway was swept off (literally) by this trend.

Birds of a Feather

The Runway saw a lot of feathers (don't worry, we are sure no living animals or birds were harmed to get these made) Feathers added a touch of dreaminess and whim to the ensembles. From ostrich feathers dyed into colorful jackets to delicate feather trims to gowns covered in feathers entirely - the runway saw a A list designers accentuating their deigns with this element.

Leather Head to Toe

This classic trend was not just limited to coats or pants but the models were seen showcasing complete outfits made out of leather. Leather dresses paired with leather boots, leather jumpsuit with leather boots! Seems like one cannot have too much leather.

Cruella De Vil Approved

Cruella De Vil (from 101 Dalmatians) would approve of this trend. Animal prints were all the rage and not just cheetah or tiger prints, we even saw Dalmatian print and we can't get enough of it.

Frill Seekers

Frills and ruffles have made a come back and in a big way. From artistic ruffle necks and skirts to Victorian lace frills - the New York Fashion Week 2019 had us all wanting for more.

Get your Shine On

This trend is here to stay and we are not complaining. Shimmery Sequins on dainty silhouettes are what dreams are made of. Perfect outfit for date night anyone?

70's Glam Rock

70s style structured shoulders and strong silhouettes made a comeback on the New York Fashion Week 2019 runway. Way to make a bold statement!

Regal as it gets

The royal fabric has made a grand entrance on the New York Fashion Week 2019 runway after quite a hiatus. Darker hues made for a larger chunk of the looks and they look fabulous.
