Throwback to Diana Penty’s Turquoise Lehenga

As a result of ever-changing and diverse trends in ethnic wear, it's hard to keep a track of what's in and what's not. But thanks to our favourite celebrities, who are up-to-date with their promotional and red-carpet looks, we are able to catch up with these trends pretty easily. We were rummaging through our Instagram feed to find what's trending when it comes to festive wear and noticed a particularly bright pattern; it seems like our celebs are leaning toward vibrant highlighter hues and subverting norms previously associated with Indian wear, and one of our favourite looks of the season actually comes from Diana Penty, who stunned in this turquoise lehenga from designer Aisha Rao's splendid collection.

Inspired by the deep-sea flora, the vivacious detailing on the lehenga is ideal for a bridesmaid. Not the usual florals you have seen to date right? The flare (with a hint of a trail) is enough for a scene-stealing effect. To balance the details, the net dupatta was aptly simple. Diana makes a firm case on keeping the look minimal with dainty jewellery, fuchsia lips, and tousled waves. Taking notes here.

If her look inspires you to opt for off-beat colours and styles to attend a wedding in, we strongly urge you to turn towards this lively set that can be yours for Rs 1.30,000. After all, who wants the same old run-off-the-mill lehengas for a bridesmaid look, right? (As there is almost the same amount of spotlight on us as well ;P) Pair the outfit with a simple choker necklace set and an oversized ring, and you're good to go. Pay with braids and opt for bold lips, just like Diana here, and the stage is yours.
