1. With over 15 years in the industry, how has your journey in the fashion industry evolved over the years?
We have built a career in fashion by following our own set of rules where the secret of our success has turned out to be rather unique with our unusual styling and attention to detail, that gives design a ‘luxury’ element. We enjoy the challenge and the process that goes into creating each and every finished product. It’s the minute aspects and the small unexpected twists that makes every garment unique. A dress must make, in an instant, a statement without the help of accessories. The Falguni & Shane Peacock brand carries the signature use of feathers, sequence and prints that translates the fragility, strength, tradition and modernity of a woman.
2. What are the key inspirations that lie in every collection?
Our collections features a wide variety of silhouettes like voluminous & slim fit floor scraping gowns, dresses, bridal wear, sariss and lehengas, anarkalis, skirts, crop tops, salwar suits etc. The diaphanous gowns with high-low hemlines and high slits are delicately embroidered in varying degrees and flattering forms with intricate appliqué work. Premium quality embellishments like rhinestones, bugle beads, crystals, glass sequins and feathers have been used, giving the outfits a dreamy effect. Intricate work remains the main feature of the collection with elaborate motifs and prints inspired by nature and royal architecture embroidered with various sizes of Swarovski crystals and sequins for a master piece with a signature peacock twist.
3. What can we look forward to in the near future from your label.
Signature gowns that spell opulence, grandeur, and femininity. We are looking at gowns that have a dose of the signature red carpet glamour with a detachable cape , which brides can remove after the ceremony for greater ease of movement. We have carried that idea of comfort and versatility over to long-sleeved gowns which took a simpler approach to glitz with tonal Swarovski crystal embellishments.
4. Three ways a bride-to-be can can make a statement with her trousseau choices for the big day.
Firstly, it’s important to keep an open mind during your bridal choices. Be conscious of trends, but the main objective should be to feel beautiful on your big day! Stay true to your figure, choosing silhouettes and color’s that flatter you and dismiss trends that don’t. Second, think outside the box. You can create a look that’s completely your own with gowns. Consider pairing a gown over a heavy lehenga for your ceremony. Slip it on to reveal a new look for your reception and dance the night away.

5. Which celebrity embodies your label’s aesthetics the best?
It would be unfair to name just one – Deepika Padukone,Sonam Kapoor,Katrina Kaif, Bipasha Basu,Beyonce ,Jennifer Lopez ,Gwen Stefani, Rihanna would be the first that come to mind. They all are stunning and have their own style that makes these ladies look beautiful. The list is endless, athough these would just be a few to name.
6. What is the best thing about launching a new collection at fashion week each time?
We look forward to every collection each time, as the collection is always something special and dear to us with a lot of hard work and man hours that go into the making. So each time a collection goes live at fashion week, we only look forward to the response that our hard work deserves. Fortunately we have always been blessed with the kind appreciation and showers of love.
7. Three things that you have in common with each other, with relation to fashion and style?
Our sensibilities combined with high octane glamour, and our devotion to rock and roll our love for fashion. This is what makes us a great team as we have the same likes and dislikes.
8. Your all time favorite holiday destinations where you have travelled together.
A stroll through the gardens of the Palace of Fontainebleau, just outside the city, a sundowner (and the views) in Belleville, the hilltop district where Edith Piaf was born, a show at the Palais Garnier, and dinner at La Fermette Marboeu, where the Art Nouveau decor is as exquisite as the Grand Marnier soufflé? Then recreate Robert Doisneau's Le Baiser de l'Hôtel de Ville (Kiss by the Town Hall). Paris is certainly a city for lovers!
