Trends seen at London Fashion Week Fall Winter 2019

Fashion buffs have been on their toes with the overdose of all things fashion! The journey began in New York, currently in London, and continues well into the next month with Milan And Paris Fashion week following suit. Here's some trends we spotted at the London Fashion Week Fall Winter 2019. Read along to find out what is gonna be big in the coming year and how you can sport the trends.

Check Mate

Checks have been a fashion staple for as long as we can remember. It is basic (hello! school uniforms) yet classic. London Fashion Week Fall Winter 2019 saw a myriad of checkered coats, suits and dresses by the British Fashion Moguls like Burberry, Victoria Beckham and Vivienne Westwood, to name a few. So next time around do not shy away from the plaid check shirt or dress, as we all know now that it is (and has been) a runway favorite

Collars

Statement collars were all the rage at London Fashion Week Fall Winter 2019 Runway. Elongated collars, embellished collars, fur laden collars - you name it! They had their own fan base as far as we are concerned. Turn your simple outfit into a runway look by adding lager than life collar.

Ruffle Necks

Since we are on the topic of collars, another trend that stood out was the Victorian Ruff inspired ruffle neck. These outfits look like they time traveled through the centuries to make a impact on the London Fashion Week Fall Winter 2019 runway. Don't they glam up just about any silhouette be it vintage or modern?

Turtle Necks

Yet another iconic look that has made a come back is the turtle neck. From sweaters to dresses to chemises - this trend was seen in various iterations.

Waist Cinching Belts

Seems like the Kardashians were right all this while. We are obsessed with smaller waists and the highly coveted "hour-glass" figure. A trendy way (and less painful. Uh.. hell no to suffocating girdles and corsets) to achieving this trend is adding a statement belt on top of your outfit. Indian Designer Rocky Star added a leather double belt cincher to a Indian classic outfit - the saree and we must say we are totally digging it .

Pressed Pleats

The London Fashion Week Fall Winter 2019 was an ode to pressed pleats. From flowy skirts to knee length formal-wear bottoms, this trend was the feminine touch to most ensembles. Add a breeze of perkiness to an otherwise boring look with this hot trend from the runway.

Ruching

In lay man terms, ruching is the technique of creating gathers in a garment (usually with the help of a draw string) We must say this makes for some stunning designs by adding dimension and depth to the outfit. We would highly recommend a ruched, off-shoulder top for the next summer vacay or stroll around the city.

Wrapped like a present

Over-sized Bows had heads turning at the London Fashion Week Fall Winter 2019.  We love how this simple element can up your style quotient by multiple folds. Add a bow to your regular outfit - it can be the same color or  a standout color.
