#QuarantineThrowbacks Priyanka Chopra in Rahul Mishra at a UNICEF Event

Welcome to our segment Quarantine Throwbacks, where we dish the deets on our favourite celebrity looks throughout the years - because, let's face it, even the mainstays on our best dressed list are at home in their most comfy pair of pajamas!

Welcome to yet another segment of throwback to our favourite celebrity looks. Today, we're here to disect a particularly feminine look of the global hotshot, Priyanka Chopra, from 2017 where the actor was spotted wearing a Rahul Mishra outfit. Three years later, we still want to make it a part of our wardrobe.

If you're a regular on our blog, then, you know that we've always waxed poetic about Rahul Mishra's baseline design aesthetics, which is all about the use of soft colours and intricate hand embroidery, and strong feminine silhouettes. Perhaps why we cannot contest a better outfit than this mock-bandhgala kurta and cigarette pants set for Priyanka who wore it to a UNICEF event.

The overall look is equal parts strong and sophisticated, which made it perfect for bringing out the actor's philantrophic side.

We love how the actor has kept her overall look rather simple with just face-framing sleek hair, a bindi and very minimal makeup. The lip colour only goes to prove a point we've been trying to drive home for the longest time - that every girl needs to have at least one nude lipstick in her makeup kit. There's no flamboyant accessorizing (no Lady Dior bag either, which is a mainstay in the actor's accroutrements, otherwise), just simple juttis to finish the look - which are also rather subdued.

The actor chose yet another kurta from the Rahul Mishra's couture collection in 2019 - this one chock-full of floral embroidery, too, with the same bandhgala feature, except she swapped the cigarettes pants with a comfy-looking palazzo version - for bringing in the Navratri celebrations.

Looks like, when it comes to wearing minimal outfits that still display best features of couture, the actor only looks towards Rahul Mishra.

If you, too, want a stalwart kurta that can be your answer to every ethnic outfit quandary, check out the designer's collection!
