I don’t know about you, but I can’t seem to remember the time when spending a Saturday night at home with friends having a house party was a choice made by our adulting selves. With workspace and ‘chilling’ space melting into one big blob of same, it’s become increasingly difficult to choose what to wear to a party should we decide to throw one, after all. But just when we thought we are running out of ideas (plopping down with a glass of wine in our pajamas, albeit satin, is getting a tad bit boring) Mira Rajput turned up in a yellow Anita Dongre mini dress that has given our party wardrobe a new direction.
Behold the infamous outfit that’s going to make dressing up interesting again.
With the other attendee being her mother (who was also dressed in a resplendent indigo kurta set from Anita Dongre, too), Mira’s party was surely more low-key than what you and I can conjure, but her dress with perfect for both. The relaxed fit and the dainty, tribal-inspired, hand-embroidered floral motifs lent the dress the perfect boho-chic look that we are of late digging.
We like how she has styled the look – with simple hoops from Outhouse and gold bangles courtesy of her mom. The wavy hair and the simple no-makeup makeup look are perfect for a night in at home, too. I’d probably give the heels a miss and opt for something more comfortable like juttis.
In an Instagram post, Mira Kapoor also talks about choosing this dress from Anita Dongre’s line, Grassroot, as a means to further clothes that are made in India to help sustain employment, craft, and heritage of the artisans who make these marvelous must-have wardrobe pieces by hand. We, too, encourage ethical fashion, which is why, here’s presenting some super comfortable Saturday night-in dress options from Anita Dongre, inspired by Mira Rajput.
Take your pick!
