Katrina Kaif And Vicky Kaushal’s Wedding – Smitten In Sabyasachi

Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal are one of the most low-key couples of Bollywood. The duo had managed to keep their relationship under wraps for a very long time and have recently tied the knot. Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif had ensured that everything from their functions was released from their social media accounts first hand. While a few hearts broke with the two getting married, the netizens were absolutely ecstatic and overjoyed with the news. They were rumoured to get married for the past couple of months and once the pictures were out, they broke the internet.  

The couple tied the knot in a resort in Rajasthan on December 9 and as expected, they were dressed in classic Sabyasachi outfits for their big day. They looked absolutely ethereal in the classic Sabyasachi collection of red and ivory on their wedding day. The most anticipated wedding of the year was the one of Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal and the images are definitely worth the wait. Designer Sabyasachi took to his social media accounts to share the details of their outfits and we can't help but fall in love with their looks even more. 

Not just the wedding, the couple has recently released the pictures of their pre-wedding ceremony – Haldi, and the pictures have left us all absolutely love-struck. For the Haldi ceremony, Katrina Kaif was dressed in a Sabyasachi ivory organdy lehenga with gota and tilla embroidery, and an organza dupatta in gota and marori embroidery, trimmed with kiran. Sharing a few candid pictures on her Instagram, Katrina Kaif looked delighted and gratified with her family and Vicky Kaushal. 

As for the groom, Vicky Kaushal shared candid images on his Instagram and was dressed in a Sabyasachi embroidered khadi kurta and salwar. Keeping it simple and classy, Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif’s wedding was all things vibrant, classic, and an exuberant affair!  

Coming to the big day, Katrina Kaif looked like a quintessential Indian bride in a red lehenga by the maestro, Sabyasachi. With minimal makeup and a contented smile, Katrina Kaif looked striking in her Sabyasachi bridal lehenga. While the Haldi ceremony pictures were shared earlier today, the wedding pictures were out on the day of the ceremony itself.  

The couple's Mehendi ceremony was no less than a full-on Punjabi party with a lot of music, dance, and candid moments. Ace Indian designer Sabyasachi made Katrina Kaif's outfit vibrant with a hint of current contemporary trends. The lehenga was a multi-coloured matka silk lehenga with a patchwork blouse and an embroidered tulle dupatta inspired by Sabyasachi’s graduation collection Kashgaar Bazaar. The collection found its muse in the diversity of India’s regional folklore, crafts and nomadic culture, and layers cheent prints with hand-fringed embellishments, brass sequins and heavily embroidered borders. The lehenga was paired with eclectic Navratan inspired jewellery that pays homage to the celestial gems in emeralds, uncut diamonds, multi-coloured sapphires, pearls, spinels, tourmalines and rubies in 18k gold from Sabyasachi Heritage Jewellery. 

As for Vicky Kaushal, the happy groom was seen in an embroidered raw silk bandhgala jacket with coromandel chintz prints, a mint silk kurta with embroidered butis and a Bangalore silk ivory salwar.

Living every bride’s dream to be dressed in a Sabyasachi lehenga on her big day, Katrina Kaif was seen wearing a classic Sabyasachi red bridal lehenga in handwoven matka silk with fine tilla work and meticulously embroidered revival zardozi borders in velvet. In homage to the groom’s Punjabi roots, her veil is custom-trimmed with handmade kiran in hand-beaten silver electroplated in gold. She paired her look up with bespoke bridal jewellery of uncut diamonds in 22k gold detailed with hand strung pearls from Sabyasachi Heritage Jewellery.  

Looking dapper as ever, Vicky Kaushal was dressed in an ivory silk sherwani with intricate marori embroidery and iconic Sabyasachi handcrafted gold-plated Bengal Tiger buttons, with a silk kurta and churidar. The shawl is a tussar georgette with a zari marori embroidered pallu and borders. The gold Benarasi silk tissue safa is paired with a handcrafted kilangi and statement necklace studded in emeralds, brilliant cut and rose cut diamonds, quartz and tourmalines in 18k gold from Sabyasachi Heritage Jewellery.  

While the pictures have left us in love with the couple even more, they have certainly raised the bar high for wedding goals. With a dreamy ceremony in the presence of their loved ones, Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal’s wedding was no less than a fairytale.
