The 17th edition of the Indian Couture Week has wrapped up and all the fine craftmanship that will set new trends in the fashion industry have been introduced. From the glamour, and ethnic heritage to the celebration of creativity, this year has been full of surprises. The Indian Couture Week 2024 is not just another fashion show, but a representation of Indian culture infused with the contemporary sensibilities of renowned Indian designers.

Falguni Shane Peacock’s ‘Rang Mahal’
Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna wrapped up the couture week by turning showstoppers for Falguni Shane Peacock. The collection is inspired by Indian royalty. It pays homage to the nation’s rich cultural tapestry and its architectural grandeur. Rimzim Dadu’s 'STUCCO'

Rimzim Dadu gracefully sculpts a tactile futuristic collection that honors the past in a homage to heritaged craftsmanship. Sobhita Dhulipala who turned showstopper for the avant-grande representation of historical architecture, wore a white contrasting bralette with a floor-length white skirt replete with fringes.
Gaurav Gupta’s 'Arunodaya'
A term describing early dawn, a time of the day that symbolizes hope and new beginnings, Gaurav Gupta’s new collection was a veritable stunner. Infusing the captivating phenomenon when the first rays of the sun break the darkness was of great importance for the ace couturier. This collection went beyond the designer’s staple pieces by including garments that featuredzardozi techniques with serene lines and vibrant embroidery.
Khushi Kapoor and Vedang Raina represented the theme of Arunodaya perfectly by wearing a sand-hued lehenga and pairing it with a dark black sherwani.
Jayanti Reddy’s 'Evocative Nawabi Canvas'
The Indian Couture Week 2024 was put in the spotlight when Jayanti Reddy’s collection came on the floor. Inspired by the royal heritage of Hyderabad - its Nawabs and Nizams. The lavish looks with traditional embroideries which were crafted after being influenced by their regal lifestyle. From capes, corsets, and jackets to bandhgalas, sherwanis, and kurtas for men, the designer reinvented traditional textiles with a touch of contemporary.
Aditi Rao Hydari turned showstopper for the label in a fit-and-flared silhouette, featuring a sequin embroidered long peplum blouse and sharara emblazoned with sparkling gotta work.
Dolly J’s 'La Vie En Rose'
Unfolding like a fairytale, Dolly J embraced the beauteous appeal of rose bushes in her romantic La Vie En Rose collection. To add more charm the usage of shimmering fabrics like iridescent tissues, tulles, chiffons, and silk organza redefined each silhouette beautifully. Sonakshi Sinha looked ethereal in a pale pink off-shoulder, asymmetrical gown adorned with tulle and crystals.
Kunal Rawal’s 'Sehra'
Merging positive omens with a touch of tradition and luxury? Only Kunal Rawal could do it in a men-centric collection. Combining weaves from all over the country the runway has the synergism of silk brocades, bandhani, dhup choa threadwork, and micro motifs that defines the androgynous ethos of the brand. Aditya Roy Kapoor dazzled in a navy blue sherwani as he closed the show for the designer.
Caligula's Feast by 'Siddhartha Tytler'
Taking inspiration from Caligula AKA Gaius Julius Caesar, Siddhartha Tytler featured sensual opulent pieces in his collection. Using luxury and charming jewel tones as ruby, emerald, and royal blue with gold accents, the designer added a sense of grandeur to his traditional creations. Siddhartha convincingly straddled the line between avant-garde to wearable garments with a versatile color palette. Malaika Arora and Rahul Khanna, as showstoppers looked ethereal in dark fashion-forward outfits.
'Art of Eternity' by Isha Jadojia
On day two, Isha Jadoja presented ‘The Art of Eternity’’, a love story depicted by using lace and meticulously crafted fabrics. An elegant blend of heritage design and femineity, every piece in the collection draws inspiration from French architecture . Adorned with intricate embroidery, beadwork, and embellishments this collection is the classic example of fine, fine craftmanship.
Jacqueline Fernandez closed the show in a black corseted gown with a sweetheart neckline and an elegant mesh cape.
Abu Sandeep Khosla for 'Asal & Mard'
The glorious duo of Taha Shah and Wamiqa Gabbi opened the Indian Couture Week 2024. Adorned in Abu Sandeep Khosla’s Asal & Mard collection, the stars looked like royalty. Effectively blending traditional heritage with a touch of modernity, the designer pieces showed impeccable craftsmanship with gold and dramatic embroideries.
