India Couture Week '19 witnessed a galore of masterminds, with each designer portraying their A-game on the runway. We would love to take a moment and laud one of these couturiers who changed the definition of high-glam, cocktail-worthy outfits. As seen from his fashion week collection, Undercurrent, structured femininity and flamboyant drapes are Gaurav Gupta's trademark. With all the sculpted and layered silhouettes in his design, his outfits are a perfect pick for a glamorous evening soiree.
Here are some of our favourite Indian celebrities who have sported the best of Gaurav Gupta outfits, along with Olivia Culpo, a former Miss Universe, who wore one of the designer's creations to the 2019 edition of the pageant.

Athiya Shetty
Looking for something to wear to an outdoor cocktail party? Take inspiration from the diva, Athiya Shetty, in this lavender pre-draped saree-gown with a 3-D floral cape. The chic noodle-strap blouse with a sweetheart neckline was a subtle add-on to the look.
Tara Sutaria
A white bandeau top paired with flared pants and a stunning overlay of structured organza cape, what's not fashionable about it? Take a cue from our current favourite celeb, Tara, on how to wear this with that much-needed oomph.
Madhuri Dixit
There's hardly any outfit that Madhuri Dixit can't look chic in. She stunned us all in this black pre-draped saree with a statement sleeveless one-shoulder embellished blouse on the sets of Dance Deewane 2.
Huma Qureshi
Posting a picture of herself on Instagram captioning, 'Sari, not Sorry!!', Huma Qureshi kept the Indian vibe alive at the Cannes film festival 2019 by wearing a pristine ivory saree-gown with an asymmetrical chikankari cape.
Deepika Padukone
While we love how Deepika has been experimenting with her outfits, this Gaurav Gupta outfit surprised us, too. We sure didn't expect her in this metallic lavender gown with a plunging v-neck, accentuated with feathers at the hem. The embellished veil with the feather-attached puff-sleeves left us vying for dressing OTT. We love!
Olivia Culpo
This year's Miss Universe pageant saw one of the best outfits by the designer. Olivia Culpo, a former Miss Universe, wore this Belle-inspired (we love our Disney princesses) bright sleeveless gown with structured ruffles.
Shruti Haasan
What's a party outfit without some contemporary draping? Shruti Haasan channels her inner party-girl with this icy-grey one-shoulder dress with minimal sequined work and chic structure.
Aditi Rao Hydari
Seems like faux-feathers are Gaurav Gupta's favourite. Aditi Rao Hydari's high-on-drama sequined gown is proof. She looked red-carpet-ready in this soft-lavender gown with a corset-bodice and a detachable bustle train with -you guessed it-feathers.
Sara Ali Khan
This custom-made ball gown as seen on Sara Ali Khan with hand-embroidered bugle beads and accentuated with organza flowers gives us major Cinderella vibes (another Disney outfit right here). We suggest reserving this masterpiece for your wedding reception instead!
Kubbra Sait
Kubbra Sait wore this grey Prism Stellar gown at the Emmy Awards, and completely stole the show. This elegant off-shoulder sequined gown with a fish-cut silhouette and attached fabric trims at the hem was the talk of town, internationally as well.
Huma Qureshi
Huma Qureshi wore this Gaurav Gupta outfit back-to-back with her white saree at the Cannes film festival. This time, she went all out, as opposed to the demure white outfit. This exuberant silver-grey ruffled gown with an embellished bodice and a lust-worthy train was a hit among the fashion critics.
Rakul Preet
We have come to realize the designer's favoritism for sculpted silhouettes, with this one-shoulder kaftan-sleeved red gown worn by Rakul Preet at SIIMA Awards. The structured, flamboyant sleeve was the USP of the garment.
Sonakshi Sinha
We are getting a real goth-princess feel from this black kaftan cape-pantsuit set worn by Sonakshi Sinha for her movie promotions. The sequin details and pleats on the cape were definitely the high-point of the garment.
Pooja Hedge
Pooja Hegde opted for this demure beige saree with a sheer net embellished blouse for the TV 9 National Film Awards. We surely love the flowy fabric and the gathered pallu, making the look ultra-feminine.
These Gaurav Gupta outfits look ethereal on our favourite celebrities, don't they? Let us know in the comments section below which one you liked the most.
