The year 2020 brought along a lot of unexpected twists in life as we know it. There was a new-found sense of individuality (thanks to the lockdown) and many circles become close-knit and intimate. Weddings too followed the same directive. One would think, downsized guest-lists and humble décor would mean uber-minimal outfits. While that may be the way to go for many of us, here are some famous people who shunned the idea of dressing-too-down for their big day. After all, the bride and the groom are about to embark on a new journey amidst a pandemic, might as well be dressed up for it.
Check out these famous people who re-wrote the unwritten rules of 2020 weddings.
Neha Kakkar and Rohanpreet Singh
Neha Kakkar's wedding was nothing less than a big-fat Punjabi one, with back-to-back picture-perfect outfits taking the centre-stage. The singer's trousseau saw it all, from lush jewel tones to demure pastels, and dainty floral prints to detailed embroidery. Most of her looks were au-traditionnel, with quintessentially simple silhouettes taking precedence over contemporary ones. Her jewellery picks are classics too, with diamond-encrusted choker sets, polki necklaces, and of course, the fail-proof oxidized silver earrings.
Her groom complemented her with outfits that seemed like puzzle pieces, and now we're motivated to not shy away to match with our beau on our special days.

Rana Daggubati and Miheeka Bajaj
Rana Daggubati and Miheeka's grand (by lockdown standards) 2020 wedding rendered everyone speechless. The groom's simpler-than-ever outfit choices perfectly complemented the bride's lively-yet-graceful pieces. For the mehendi ceremony, the star opted for a minimal vanilla-toned pant set by Kunal Rawal, which Miheeka aptly adjusted with a vivid-hued lehenga set.
Quite evidently, the couple went for a balanced and understated look, which seems to be a pre-requisite for close-knit ceremonies. Here are more deets about their wedding.

Kajal Aggarwal and Gautam Kitchlu
Kajal Aggarwal's style roster includes biggies from the fashion industry, and her wedding trousseau is no exception. The south-Indian celebrity gave everyone 2020 wedding goals with her super-intimate (and quick) wedding. The much-trending citrus hues in yellows and greens ruled over a majority of her looks, and we can't wait to add these jubilant colours to our trousseau as well.
Since her style aesthetics lean toward minimal, her pre-wedding picks too, we super-chic and classy. The most ground-breaking outfit was her phera number by Anamika Khanna, which seemed like a showstopper outfit of them all. She resorted to traditional jewellery like chandbaalis, gold choker sets, a kundan maangtikka and mathapatti.

Eshaa Amiin and Siddharth Pradhan
Designer Eshaa Amiin who is better known for styling Kareena and Karishma had the trendiest of 2020's wedding looks. She sported ivory lehengas (a trend that we can't get enough of since the hue is uber-modern and classy) twice for her festivities. Her pre-wedding photoshoot stole the show, with her wearing an Anamika Khanna lehenga with a lust-worthy train and a thigh-high slit. She went the traditional way for her wedding with a fuchsia and gold kanjeevaram saree gifted by her mother. Now that's a best-of-both-worlds lookbook that we'd like for our wedding.

Juhi Godambe and Siddharth Jain
Diving into the blogger-world, another space where we pen our inspiration from, here's Juhi Godambe in a sunny yellow lehenga set by Akanksha Gajria. The influencer picked this mood-lifting embellished number for her roka, which instantly ranked high up on our wish-list. Since monotone outfits are a big rage this season, don't forget to get this outfit for a festivity. We're on the edge of our seats for her stunning wedding looks.
