One of the most anticipated events of the year, Lakme Fashion week x FDCI has finally began. A glamorous celebration of artistic creations brought to life by some of the most renowned names in the fashion industry, this national runway event sets the tone of trends, styles and designs that will rule our wardrobe this year. Borne with unforgettable runway moments, boundless bold daring looks that push the boundaries of creativity along with Bollywood celebrities closing the shows of their favorite designers, four days of LFW is nothing but pure runway mania.
DAY 1: The Opening Ceremony
Opening the show, the designer’s designer Anamika Khanna in collaboration with AK|OK showcased ‘Silver Collar’ at LFW 2025. A collection that draws inspiration from the modern women, it features designs that reflect the essence of long-lasting elegance that seamlessly transitions from day to night. With a charming twist to power dressing, the fluid silhouettes presented contemporary style with a versatile attribute. With intricate silver embellishments being the major sentiment, this lineup truly redefines indo-fusion wear in a sublime manner for the Indian audience.

The Gen Next
Lakme Fashion Week x FDCI started with the Gen Next designers. Abhichiq, That Antiquepiece and Quarter showcased their unique, fresh designs that will largely resonate with young fashion enthusiasts. A display of artistic creations that lit up the second day, was not only encouraging to the next generation of designers but also a hollow overlook of what the future of fashion may entail.
Abhichiq
Showcasing ‘Ciao’, Abhichiq brought out a collection featuring handwoven textiles, hand block printed and hand embroidered fruit and floral compositions. Along with these, the styles included carnival prints and bold strip patterns with retro detailing. Abhichiq beautifully reimagined menswear in a timeless manner.
That Antiquepiece
Taking inspiration from Rana queens of Nepal from the 1870s, That Antiquepiece presented a breathtaking collection featuring striking visual imagery of the Himalayas along with European influences spread across the silhouettes.
Quarter
‘Dichotomy of Loss’ by Quarter dives deeply into the nature of grief. A social experiment turned collection; this curation explains the unbound perspectives of grief in the form of cut out contours of fabrics.
The Runway
A versatile selection from the upcoming designers from NIF schools around the country, it is an eloquent curation that seamlessly blends urbanity with functionality.
