She charted her designer career with an aim to create a niche of style comprising of modern influences and traditional craftsmanship for the millennial woman. Born and brought up in Delhi, Ridhi Mehra took to the journey of luxury fashion when India's most prestigious fashion week approached her followed by a high end celebrity clientele. There has been no looking back for the designer who has redefined pret, occasion and bridal for the modern diva. The designer has interestingly given the modern choli a refreshing twist.
1. What is your personal style? Simple yet chic. 2. Your kind of holiday destination. Mykonos is a perfect holiday destination for me. It’s a mix of beauty, fun and relaxation. 3. A luxury splurge you couldn't resist. There have been quite a few, but buying make up is something I cant resist. 4. Your idea of unwinding after a long day. Sitting in bed with a cup of green tea and watching the television. 5. Besides designing, what do you enjoy doing? If I am not designing, I am looking into marketing, production or sales of my business. But besides that, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family.Pastel colors, blooming florals & shimmer are a combination frequently seen in the designer's collection.
6. Your all-time favorite designer. Valentino Garavani. 7. Your favorite trend of 2017. Bomber jackets. 8. A stylish silhouette from your collection that every woman must try. I once tried experimenting with a jumpsuit sharara paired with a bomber jacket in my collection ‘Arcadia’. It is a little modern and experimental, but I think every woman must try it. 9. Three beauty products a woman needs in her bag. Sunscreen, mascara and lip crème. 10. 3 tips on how to plan a bridal trousseau. Keep a variety of looks, don’t go crazy and over shop and keep a good mix of Indian and western.Bollywood's hottest diva's captured at several events in the designer's signature collection.
11. How can one reuse a sari or lehenga to create different looks? They can be worn in different ways by pairing it with a cape, or an extra dupatta or you can also wear it a ‘sari lehenga’. 12. One element that we will always see in your collection. Innovative placements of floral embroidery in most of my outfits. 13. A hint as to what is coming in store soon for you. Summer is just around the corner and we have planned a beautiful collection inspired by flamingos and the beauty around them. We will be launching it very soon!
