What are the signature elements in your designs?

Blooming floral appliques in our signature thread embroidery, sheer lace hemline, a scalloped edge, tassel or ombre dyed dupatta, minimal or geometric prints.

Where do you find inspiration for your designs?

My inspiration comes from everyday life, a part of the new ethos where we are making thoughtful and personal designs that connect the wearer with the maker. Each piece is a story of all the hands that came together to create it.

Which designer in the world inspires you?

Indira Gandhi and Gayatri Devi were very strong women and had a distinctive sense of style. They have always inspired me with their work and how their persona always resembles their style of clothing.

Share a memorable "aha" moment from your design career.

When my clients share how they feel everyday wearing Vaayu, "Clothes that let you be yourself, and yet make you feel good". My "aha" moment is when I see my clients connecting with Vaayu's philosophy.
