If your designs could speak, what would they say?

My design philosophy is derived from my personal style sense of "less is more". So Charkhee's designs would always say that "Cut the clutter and keep your personality at the center and allow our garments to enhance your natural style"

What are the signature elements in your designs?

Hand Embroideries, natural and pure flowing fabrics, and a contemporary take on graceful Indian silhouettes Our signature elements include the use of pure fabrics and different hand embroideries in unique ways.

Which collection are you most proud of, and why?

The breakthrough collection was our first festive collection "TYOHAAR". Bright Indian colour palette adorned with neat settings of intricate and delicate hand embroideries that shine in the crowd of heavy ethnic wear.

Where do you find inspiration for your designs?

I try to keep my mind open to draw inspiration from anywhere and everywhere. I am a keen observer and I tend to notice tiny intricate details in things and people around me. Be it my travels, or my love for cinema and food from all parts of the world, or my daily life, I am always observing and noting the finer things. My inspiration comes from the beauty of life, the simplicity of the countryside, and our rich heritage, including the old-world charm of different eras, which can be transformed into something unique and contemporary.

Which designer in the world inspires you?

I admire Artist Vincent Van Gogh's works and his paintings inspires my creativity.
